Raghu is a person, that I have seen grow from a young professional to where he is today. In 1996, I (as the CEO of Optimos Inc.) had tasked him with learning PeopleSoft HRMS and supporting tools such as SQR and Crystal Reports. To help develop our organizational capability in PeopleSoft HRMS, we decided to develop our own team of consultants by putting them through a bootcamp like program, covering foundations of ERP, HR Technology, and the Product module capabilities.
Knowing his passion for teaching, we gave him the responsibility of developing Technical and functional PeopleSoft HRMS consultants. Raghu took this forward by putting together a structured curriculum, practical activities, and assessments. In a period of about 14 months, he trained young Technical Consultants on HR Concepts, transforming experienced HR Professionals into functional consultants, and supported them while on their engagements.
He is highly regarded by his students for his efforts, dedication, and ability to convey complex concepts effectively. Those who graduated from his programs were sought out by our customers.
His success, as I see it, was his ability to bring together a combination of skills – organization, communication, collaboration, willingness to learn, and ability to understand the world of adult learning, in addition to his knowledge of HR & HR Technology. Raghu constantly refined the program to improve the quality and scope of learning delivered.
Raghu has since worked on various HR Technology engagements across multiple industry domains. I am sure that these practical experiences will add richness to the learning from the courses catering to young professionals involved in HR Technology.
